Russian ‘hawks of war’ 04.03.2024
"We are so indifferent to whether there is meaning or not, that we wouldn't mind if it disappeared completely."

Recently, disgraced deacon Andrey Kurayev gave a brief interview to the #вТРЕНДde program on Deutsche Welle channel, where he suggested that the ideas of the fascist Ivan Ilyin were introduced to Russian President Vladimir Putin by Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov). It's an interesting assertion that is very close to the truth. So, let's talk about the Russian "hawks of war."
Let's start with the fact that Putin from the year 2000 and the modern Putin are essentially two different people. Yes, back in 2000, Vladimir Putin emerged from the KGB environment and St. Petersburg's criminal underworld, wore a raspberry jacket, and drank vodka with thieves in law. But he was neither a chauvinist nor a fascist. He became one. His entourage played a significant role in this transformation, not least the current Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov), who for a long time was maintained by the "Orthodox oligarch" Konstantin Malofeev. On the other hand, another Malofeev's protégé, the fascist Alexander Dugin, actively indoctrinated Vladimir Putin with radical ideology. Hence the roots of Putin's fondness for the ideas of Ivan Ilyin and Nikolai Berdyaev, as well as the factors of all the madness currently happening in Russia and around it.
In reality, the circle of Russian "hawks of war" is not that large. It includes Konstantin Malofeev, who for many years financed and supported the ideologues of Russian fascism and related media from ANNA-News to "Tsargrad". Konstantin Malofeev began his career as a lawyer at Renaissance Capital, then became an investment banker and worked at MDM Bank. These structures are close to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, as well as his friends Andrey Melnichenko and Mikhail Kuznetsov.
On the other hand, Konstantin Malofeev was supported by the "siloviki" (security services personnel). Through a retired FSB Major General Gennady Tendetnik, the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional Order and Combating Terrorism of the FSB of Russia worked in the interests of Konstantin Malofeev. From there emerged figures like FSB Colonel Igor Girkin-Strelkov, who, on the recommendation from Gennady Tendetnik, transitioned in 2013 from the FSB to the position of head of security for the investment fund "Marshall Capital" owned by Malofeev; and then supervised all the "force" projects of Konstantin Malofeev from the "Slavic Corps" in Syria to the beginning of the invasion of Donbass.
Konstantin Malofeev also received support from the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU).
Metropolitan Tikhon, politician Sergey Glazyev, fascist Alexander Dugin, journalist Boris Korchevnikov, Lieutenant General of the SVR Leonid Reshetnikov, blogger Anatoly Nesmiyan, terrorists Igor Strelkov and Alexander Borodai, Ekaterina Mizulina; as well as media projects "Tsargrad", "Neuromir TV", "ANNA-News", "Safe Internet League" - these are all faces or projects directly associated with Konstantin Malofeev. They, with direct support from the 2nd Department of the FSB and the GRU, are complicit in all the current disgrace. Led by Vladimir Putin, of course.
How all this came to be and why no one from the Russian elites intervened to prevent the situation from reaching this state is beyond me. In turn, I was probably the first to start an active conflict with Konstantin Malofeev's projects back in 2013. Then, a very serious information attack was launched against me by the media and special services. Boris Korchevnikov at the federal level, "Pskovskaya Lenta Novostey" owned by former co-owner of MDM Bank Mikhail Kuznetsov, dumped tons of informational dirt on me at that time. Active support for them was also provided by the former Governor of the Pskov region, now First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrey Turchak.
